What We Do

We understand how to motivate and inspire change.

Our approach to therapy is holistic and grounded in narrative and cognitive behavioral theory. We see you in the context of your entire life not just through the lens of a single issue or problem. We diagnose and develop treatment plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups.

Through our collaboration with Parkhurst Associates, a private group practice located in Washington, D.C., we address and treat emotional and mental disorders to promote a better mental health existence for our clients.

Our customized personal coaching plans are designed to reflect a client's expressed interests, goals and objectives. In coaching, we address the "obstacles" that block personal development.

These obstacles are often from within but they can also come from external sources. We thought partner with you to explore patterns in your life and we teach you how to navigate life's obstacles with strength and confidence.

"Whenever Matthew and I sit down to talk, I know it's going to be productive, insightful and not without a few laughs."

Through Matthew's own personal life journey of self-awareness and positive change, he has created a unique worldview filled with energy and grit that aims to be free of judgment and ignorance. From experience, Matthew has come to understand that it is often irrational thinking that can be the obstruction of our personal progress and success.

Over the last decade, Matthew has worked to improve large and small businesses around the world and has practiced as a therapist to help people confront and manage the challenges that occur at the intersection of self-awareness and emotional regulation.

With a background in mental health counseling, consulting, strategic management, negotiation, cultural sensitization and people management, Matthew brings experience and a valuable and distinctive angle to each client session.

In therapy, Matthew uses an integrated approach of narrative theory and rational emotive behavior therapy. He specializes in Emotion Management, Relationship Issues, Career Strategies, and Life Coaching. He uses ideas and models that are easy to understand and strategies that can be applied outside of the session. You will discover that these are useful tools that you can keep forever. Matthew will partner with you to find the solutions to create the life you desire.
